Nuremberg, Germany – June 2026 – The global power electronics community gathered once again for PCIM Europe 2026, the world’s leading exhibition and conference for power electronics.
This year’s edition set new benchmarks, spanning approximately to 40,000 square meters of exhibition space and featuring over 650 exhibitors from 27 countries, including more than 120 first-time participants. The event attracted a truly global audience, with over 60% of visitors traveling internationally. Across the halls, industry leaders such as Rogers, Heraeus, Denka, Murata, TDK showcased their latest innovations.
A major highlight this year was the dedicated focus on AI and data center applications, with a new exhibition zone underscoring the growing role of power electronics in enabling electrification, sustainability, and energy efficiency.
At the heart of the action, Suzhou PTC Optical Instrument Co., Ltd. (PTC) made a strong impression with its comprehensive portfolio of automatic inspection solutions tailored for the power electronics industry.
PTC showcased its expertise in Ceramic Substrate Inspection, featuring automated optical inspection (AOI) systems designed to detect surface defects and dimensional variations on Ceramic, AMB and DBC substrates. The company also highlighted its Scanning Acoustic Tomography (SAT) systems, which utilize multiple transducers to scan products in parallel, delivering high-resolution imaging of internal structures. These systems enable automatic identification and localization of critical defects such as voids and delamination – issues that are paramount to reliability in power modules.
In addition, PTC presented its NTC Thermistor Integrated Inspection System, offering precise surface defect, electrical and dimensional testing solutions used in power electronics, automotive, and industrial applications. Visitors to the PTC booth engaged in in-depth technical discussions with the company’s engineering team, exploring how automatic inspection solutions can enhance yield, reduce scrap, and ensure the long-term reliability of power electronic components.
PCIM Europe 2026 proved once again to be an invaluable platform for connecting with industry peers, understanding emerging trends, and showcasing PTC’s commitment to quality assurance in power electronics manufacturing. The team extends its sincere gratitude to all visitors, partners, and customers who stopped by the booth.
We look forward to returning to Nuremberg for PCIM Europe 2027 – and to continuing our mission of delivering cutting-edge automatic inspection solutions that drive excellence across the power electronics manufacturing.
